Happy Little Messes Mission
Jena here. Wife of hubby, Big K, momma to Little J and Little K. Stay at home mom, former Studio teacher at an early childhood education center. While I SAH with my own little ones, I help to take care of 4 other little munchkins. I Love to be creative, in my parenting, in the woods, splashing in rivers, digging in the dirt, in the kitchen, and using art materials…it pulls at me all day. My favorite thing to do is share this love of the active, creative life with my boys. My greatest wish is to teach them this adventurous, creative, artistic language, so they have many ways to express themselves in life.
This is a blog that features the creative works and adventures of one ordinary little family of four, that will, hopefully, help others feel more comfortable being in the messy moments of life. We’re trying to raise some problem solvers here, something wild and unruly. This is more important to us than a house where the dishes and laundry are always done…A home where we’re allowed to get messy. I’ve learned that a brain storm of creative activity can look a lot like a big heaping pile of random stuff all over the house, the car, the yard…but for me and the kids, it’s how we learn and have fun together. Sometimes, we need to leave the dishes in the sink and the laundry on the basement floor, and have a special moment, or lots of them, where being perfectly put together is not the priority. The posts at HappyLittleMesses emphasize the arts, cooking with and for kids, playing outside, early child development, creative parenting and living a simple, humble, honest, healthy and happy life.
